Oyo Majority Leader, Sanjo Adedoyin sympathizes with rainfall havoc victims in Ogbomoso, urges government intervention
In the wake of devastating rainfall havoc that struck Ogbomoso on Friday, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, the Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ogbomoso South, has expressed heartfelt sympathy to the affected residents.
MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that Friday calamitous rainfall has brought significant damage to properties and disrupted the lives of many in Ogbomoso South and the wider Ogbomoso town.
Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, known for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituents, extended his condolences to the good people of Ogbomoso and urged swift action from government agencies to alleviate the suffering caused by the natural disaster.
The rainfall havoc, according to him, has resulted in flooded streets, damaged homes, and disrupted essential services in Ogbomoso, leaving many communities in dire need of assistance.
The situation calls for urgent intervention from the federal government, the Oyo State government, and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to provide relief and support to the affected individuals and communities.
The Majority Leader, however, called on the Oyo State government to activate emergency response mechanisms and mobilize resources to address the immediate needs of the affected residents.
He also appealed to NEMA to swiftly deploy relief materials and personnel to assist in the rescue and recovery efforts in Ogbomoso.
Additionally, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin urged the federal government to provide financial and logistical support to facilitate the rehabilitation and reconstruction of infrastructure damaged by the rainfall havoc, including roads, bridges, and public facilities.
