Easter: Imbibe Spirit of Love, Forgiveness— Hon. Aderogba Admonishes Christians In Ibadan North LG
Hon. Com Aderogba Adebayo Taofik, mni, Deputy National President, Food, Beverage, and Tobacco Snr Staff Association (Fobtob) has called on the people of Ibadan North LG and christians to embrace the spirit of forgiveness, love, and mutual respect towards one another in the community.
Aderogba made the call on Sunday in his goodwill message to mark 2024 Easter celebrations.
He said: “We must see ourselves as one and same people irrespective of our religious differences. There is also the need for continued prayers to God for the current relative peace in our local government and to be further sustained.”
He also extended his warm regards and felicitation to the Christian community, stressing that Easter is a time for Christians to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“My brothers and sisters,Jesus Christ preached peace, honesty, and love for one another. I, therefore, enjoin you all to imbibe these virtues and put them into practice irrespective of our religion and believe.
“Let’s engage in sober reflection and self-evaluation during this year’s Easter festivities. This is a time to evaluate how well we relate with our creator and fellow human beings and make amends where necessary.
“Ibadan North LG, Oyo State and our country as a whole need peace and unity now more than ever, we should be united as one and never to be divided along religious divides. We must allow peace to reign to make progress as a community.
“Finally, while wishing you a happy Easter, I pray Almighty God continue to guide and protect us all. Amen. Happy Easter.
