Tinubu’s Appointment: Bewaji celebrates LAUTECH number one Alumnus 

The Chairman, Board of Trustees, LAUTECH Alumni, Apesin Babajide Bewaji, has congratulated Engr. Lekan Badmus on his appointment as Executive Director, Marine & Operations of Nigeria Port Authority (NPA).

President Bola Tinubu had on Thursday announced the appointment of six new executive directors to the Nigerian Ports Authority and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency. 

At the NPA, Tinubu appointed Vivian Edet as Executive Director, Finance and Administration; Olalekan Badmus as Executive Director, Marine and Operations and Ibrahim Umar as Executive Director, Engineering and Technical Services.

At NIMASA, he named Jibril Abba Executive Director, Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services; Mr. Chudi Offodile Executive Director, Finance and Administration and Fatai Adeyemi Executive Director, Operations.

In his congratulatory message on Friday, Chief Bewaji described Badmus’s appointment as a round peg in a round hole. 

He gave his assurance that the current alumni president of LAUTECH will surpass the expectations of all and sundry in excellent delivery and exceptional performance. 

The statement read: “On Behalf of entire Board of Trutees and Lautech Alumni Worldwide, i congratulate you on your appointment by the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria as the Executive Director, Nigeria Ports Authority, this is a well deserved appointment and a round peg in a round hole.

“Our immense appreciation goes to the Minister of Blue Marine,Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola for reposing explicit huge confidence in you.

“We are more than confident that you will surpass the expectations of all and sundry in excellent delivery and exceptional performance. 

“Please be assured of our unalloyed support as we are super proud of you as our ambassador.”
