New Kogi Gov Appoints SSG, Retains Yahaya Bello’s Commissioners

The new Governor of Kogi, Usman Ododo, has appointed Dr. Folashade Ayoade as the Secretary to the State Government. 

Ayoade, who served as the SSG during the previous administration of Governor Yayaha Bello, hails from the Kogi West Senatorial district. 

Alongside this appointment, Ali Bello has been named the Chief of Staff. 

Notably, Bello is related to the former governor and comes from the Kogi Central Senatorial District. 

He was previously associated with Yakubu Adabenege, who now holds the position of Auditor-General of Local Government. 

The new Director-General of Protocol is Suleman Ibrahim, and Oladele Nihi has been appointed as the Chief Press Secretary. 

Additionally, the governor announced the appointment of several Commissioner-designates, who were largely part of the previous administration, including former Commissioners for Information, Finance, Solid Minerals, Education, and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
