VIDEO: 3 feared killed as Armed robbers attack banks in Ekiti 

MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that three people are feared to have been killed in armed robbery attacks on two new-generation banks in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State on Wednesday evening.

Sources, who said the armed robbers struck at about 4.30 p.m., said that they blew the doors off the banks with dynamite and escaped with an unspecified amount of money.

The armed robbers left many customers injured while the number of deaths has yet to be ascertained, according to an eyewitness who spoke with out correspondent this evening. 

Our source said that he sighted a blood-soaked, lifeless body around the gate of one of the banks. 

He equally said that he learnt that two others were killed by the robbers in another location in the town.

“I can confirm the killing of a man at one of the banks. He was shot in the head. The lifeless body was there until police arrived the scene and people dispersed. I heard that two others were shot dead at another place”.

In a multiple video obtained by MOUTHPIECE NGR,  gunshots boomed in the town as residents and passersby scampered for safety. 

However, the extent of damage done by the armed robbers to the banks could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

It was also learnt that social and business activities in the town were paralysed for several hours as human and vehicular movements stopped while the robbery was going on.
