Oyo Rep lawmaker, Agboworin expresses gratitude to Gov. Makinde, Constituents over Appeal Court Victory
Following the appeal court verdict affirming his victory in the 2023 National election and April Rerun of Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency election, Rep. Abass Adigun has expressed his profound gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde and his constituents for their unwavering support.
Recall that the Appeal Court in its judgment on Thursday, upheld Rep. Abass’s victory and swiftly dismissed the petitions of APC candidate, Dapo Lam Adesina challenging Rep. Abass Adigun’s overwhelming electoral success, the first second-term federal lawmaker in the constituency.
In a statement made available to MOUTHPIECE NGR on Friday, the judgment vindicated the previous triumphant declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to the statement, the victory validates a long-standing belief in the rule of law and patriots, passionate about the good of society.
“Rep. Abass’s primary focus is to diligently represent the aggregate interests of every constituent in Ibadan North East/South-East federal Consistency regardless of political affiliation.”
While thanking all in Ibadan North East/South-East federal Consistency – Market Men and Women, Men, Women, Youths, and Special People for their widespread support and goodwill, he remarked that the victory is theirs.
Agboworin equally reiterated his commitment to fulfilling all the promises made to the wonderful people of Ibadan North East/South-East federal Consistency who have stood by me unwaveringly.
Rep. Agboworin commended his principal and South West PDP leader, Governor Makinde for his worthy support all the time, sacrificial and contributions towards the development of Oyo state.
“Rep Abass remains resolute in his dedication to the peace, progress, and unity of Ibadan North East/South-East federal Consistency towards the general well-being of the people. Together, we shall forge ahead towards a brighter future.”
He concluded that he will devote his strength, integrity, and firmness of resolve to serve Ibadan North East/South-East federal Consistency for the betterment of the present and future generations.
