Omo Iya Kunmi Foundation commences 4th annual vocational training, to train 120 Oyo indigenes
A community-based NGO in Oyo town, Omo Iya Kunmi Foundation, has always been consistent in her efforts towards improving the standard of living of the less privileged in the society. This has then, necessarily birthed the need to empower people in getting the minimum business orientation needed to survive.
The 4th annual training would be of benefit to nothing less than 120 people in Oyo Federal Constituency. Participants will be trained in skills such as Paint making, soap making, makeover, catering and snacks making, fish production and processing among others. Also, the provision of certificates is an added advantage to show that the participants are well-to-do in their area of interest.
In the last three years, the vocational training has contributed immensely to the lives of more than 1000 beneficiaries. This achievement is nothing but a show of consistency and also the means to get people out of idleness and unemployment.
In his welcome address, the CEO of the Foundation, Alhaji Siyanbola Akinkunmi ‘Omo Iya Kunmi’ admonished the participants to stay focused and determined during the training period. He assured them that they were going to learn a lot and it’s going to benefit their lives.
