PHOTOS: Agboworin empowers 150 constituents, reiterates qualitative representation

As part of his effort to create a better future for the residents of his federal constituency, Hon. Abass A. Adigun (Agboworin), has empowered no fewer than 150 constituents of the Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency.
In keeping with his exceptional leadership and qualitative representation, the lawmaker, who chairs the House Committee on Narcotics and Drugs, on Wednesday at Apex Centre, Yidi-Gate, Ibadan, facilitated the empowerment of over 150 women in various snacks and provided cooking equipment for the making of various snacks and startup grants in the Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency.
The training and empowerment were in conjunction with the National Productivity Centre, Abuja, in which the programme was designed to train and empower unemployed women (youth) to acquire various skills in how to make Cake Baking, Small Chops, Puff-Puff, Meat/Fish Pie, Crunchy Buns, and Egg Buns, Sandwiches, Sharwama, Making of non-alcoholic Drinks, Doughnuts, Sausages and Fish Rolls.

MOUTHPIECE NGR gathered that the provision of sewing machines, grinding machines, and cooking gas was in collaboration with the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Lagos State.
According to a statement made available to our correspondent on Thursday, the federal lawmaker who also serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, is committed to upholding the humane values of his constituents by working to lift young people out of poverty and help them become self-reliant.
The statement added, “Agboworin is determined to improve the economic status of his constituents in their various communities which is always a human-oriented and are always towards building a better tomorrow for the people of his federal constituency.

“The empowerment program and distribution of equipment, other items, and start-up grants were done by Her Excellency, Mrs. Olufunke Tamumonini Makinde to beneficiaries under Rep. Abass Adigun constituency with certificates to each participant.
“Mrs. Oladapo Adijat, one of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to Rep. Abass for his many entrepreneurial programmes aimed at raising constituents’ standards of living via human capacity-centered representation.”
