Oyo Youth Parliamentarian celebrates ogbomoso-born chef, Tope Maggi for completing his targeted 200hrs culinary milestone, eulogize Ajadi Isaac
The member representing Oriire State constituency at the Oyo State Youth Parliament, Joshua Ojo popularly referred to as ‘J’Icon’, has congratulated the Ogbomoso-born Nigerian chef Tope Adebayo, aka Tope Maggie, following his completion of a whooping 200hrs cooking marathon by an individual under the supervision of the Guinness World Record (GWR).
J’Icon said: “We are so lucky in Ogbomoso to have assisted the Country in returning back the glory highjacked from our super woman Hilda Baci by an Irish Chef, Alan barely a months after. Thanks to the trailblazer Tope Maggi too for doing us proud here, right?.
“Thank you Ajadi Isaac Oluwasegun Segment for doing us proud too in Oriire LGA for championing the media course and giving the successful culinary exercise a good light in line with the international best practices.
“In fact, you are our Herooooo. Oriire is lucky to have such a talented and highly enthusiastic and enterprising personality like you Isaac.
“Like you usually says, slow and steady wins the race, I will like to add also, ‘it is what it is!”
Tope Maggie began the challenge on Thursday at 6:31 pm at the Ogbomoso Recreation Club and completed the attempt in the early hours of Saturday (about 2:41).
The young and vibrant Youth leader added; “With this development, our guy has convincingly outdone the milestone of the latest record broker, Alan Fisher of Japan, who cooked for 119 hours 57 minutes. We only awaits the pronouncement of the Guinness World Record (GWR) in the earnest.”
