Guinness World Records: Chief Adekunle Tanwa congratulates Chef Tope Maggie for making history
Ogbomoso-born Chef Tope Maggie has etched his name in the Guinness World Records for the longest continuous cooking session, having cooked for 200 hours.
Chief Adekunle Tanwa, on Saturday, extended warm congratulations to Chef Tope Maggie and his dedicated team for their extraordinary accomplishment, adding that the achievement not only marks a personal triumph for Chef Maggie but also puts Ogbomoso on the global map.
In his words,: “Chef Maggie embarked on this ambitious culinary journey, surpassing the previous record for the longest cooking hours. For an impressive 200 hours, he demonstrated unparalleled endurance, skill, and passion in the kitchen.
Chief Tanwa, in his congratulatory message, acknowledged the significance of Chef Maggie’s accomplishment, stating, “This is not just a record-breaking moment for Chef Tope Maggie but a moment of pride for Ogbomoso and the entire culinary community.
“It takes immense dedication and skill to endure such long hours in the kitchen, and Chef Maggie has not only showcased his talent but also the resilience of the culinary arts.”
Chief Tanwa added that the strides wouldn’t have come at a better time but under Gov. Seyi Makinde-led administration, adding that Oyo State has been put on the global map through this endeavor
The entire Ogbomoso community and Oyo state at large rallied behind Chef Maggie and his team, turning the record-breaking attempt into a state-wide celebration.
