BREAKING: Imo, Bayelsa, Kogi Governorship First Election Result Emerge
MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that first results has trickled in from the ongoing Imo Governorship Election 2023 taking place in twenty-seven (27) Local Government Areas (LGAs), 4,758 polling units (PU) in 305 registration areas.
INEC put the number of registered voters for the election at 2,419,922 but only 2,318,919 collected their permanent voter cards (PVCs) and are eligible to vote in the election on Saturday.
The registered voters are 6.5 percent more than the 2,272,293 recorded for the 2019 elections in the state.
Similarly, in Bayelsa state, the first results has trickled in from the ongoing Bayelsa Governorship Election taking place in eight (8) Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 105 wards.
INEC put the number of registered voters for the election at 1,056,862. The commission said 1,017,613 registered voters have collected their PVCs ahead of the election while 39,249 PVCs were not collected.
While in Kogi state, the Governorship Election is taking place in twenty-one (21) Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 239 wards.
Kogi West has 505,731 registered voters while Kogi Central has 474,554 registered voters.
