Ogbomoso: Continue your official duty tomorrow— Soun orders Grand Imam

The Soun of Ogbomoso land, Oba Ghandi Olaoye has repeatedly ordered the grand chief Imam of Ogbomoso land to continue his official duty tomorrow.

This was contained in a statement signed by Alhaji Chief Akintoye AbdusSalam, Chairman, OMC and Mr Alao Bashiru Olatunji and Mande available to MOUTHPIECE NGR on Tuesday.

It reads: “With the directive of His Imperial Majesty, Soun of Ogbomoso land, OBA Ghandi Afolabi Oladunni Olaoye Orumogege lll, the entire Ogbomoso Muslim Community uses this medium to inform all Muslims that Kabiyesi has graciously approved that the Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomoso land, Yunus Telihat Ayilara, should continue his official functions forthright.

“Consequently, the Kabiyesi calls for the  speedy resolution of the disagreement within the Ayilara family of Ogbomoso.

“May Almighty Allah accept our ebaadah and unite the Muslim ummah for societal reformation and unparalleled development.”

Recall that the Ogbomoso Muslim Community,

Ogbomoso Central Mosque, Ojagbo, had last week Friday debunked claims that  Jummah prayer would not hold following a miniscule altercation between the current Chief Imam of Ogbomoso land (Imam Taliat Yunus Ayilara) who claimed to have originated from Ayilara ancestral family house of (Oke Agbede) and the acclaimed Ayilara family who disputed his ancestry on one hand, and the faction of the league of him who believed that he does not merit the position base on consanguinity on the other hand.

The tussle has exponentially festered and divided the Muslims community in Ogbomoso into two unequal groups.
