JUST IN: Oyo Assembly suspends 2 LG chairmen, orders Vice to take over 

The Oyo State House of Assembly has suspended the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Ysuf Saheed Oladayo as well as the chairman of Ibadan North local government, Taoheed Adedoja, MOUTHPIECE NGR reports. 

They were suspended following the petitions signed and forwarded to the House of Assembly. 

The petitions were read by the House clerk and after which it was thrown to members of the Assembly at the plenary on Tuesday. 

MOUTHPIECE NGR reports that the motion for Oladayo suspension was was moved by the deputy speaker, and Seconded by the Hon. Akintunde while the suspension of Adedoja was moved by the Majority Leader and Seconded by the Minority Leader .

The House approved that the Vice Chairman should become the acting Chairman while the council’s Secretary takes over as the acting vice chairman and Assistant Secretary pending the conclusion of their investigations.
