I felicitate my uncle, father, leader and role model Professor Abdulwaheed Adelabu salihu popularly know as Abdul-one, on your swearing- in as Commissioner for education, Science and Technology.

What great news to learn of your appointment.

I’m sure you’ll excel in this new position, it was practically made for you. I look forward to watching your continued rise to the top of the field.

The Kishi born Professor, who until his appointment was the Director of research and commercialization at Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida University, Lapai.

Your knowledge, experience, and exposure in the field of education will have a great impactful on our education, science, and technology in Oyo State.

You’re a great fit for this new position, congratulations on earning this remarkable opportunity. All of your hard work led to this moment, enjoy the rewards of your efforts. I’m incredibly proud of all you’ve accomplished.

I applaud His Excellency Eng. Seyi Makinde for giving our dear Prof the golden opportunity to serve under omituntun 2.0.

I also acknowledge the Co-pilot, the super Deputy Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal for his commitment and his loyalty to Gov. Makinde.

However, I charge Prof Abdul-one and others commissioners to be a good ambassador and they should always remember that power is transient.
