Oyo cleric lauds Makinde for rebuilding demolished Adogba mosque

A cleric in Oyo state, Imam Abdulakeem Abdullahi has described the Executive Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde as a man of his word and a man who has kept to his promises.

Abdullahi made the remarks on Thursday following the rebuilding of Adogba Central Mosque into the modern taste by the governor expected to be commissioned tomorrow by Mallam Sanusi Lamido.

He commended the governor for keeping to his promise by rebuilding the mosque despite the fact that it was demolished for the provision of infrastructural development for public benefit of the state.

He further described the governor as an Omoluabi and someone who is not a religious bigot, adding that the mosque was constructed with modern and improved facilities at a nearby site.

According to him, it’s quite unusual to see a governor particularly a Christian to be so committed to the affairs of Muslim like His Excellency.

He stressed that the governor has exhibited his uniqueness, reliability and piety with the modern construction that beat Peoples’s expectations within an unimaginable period.

Imam Abdullahi added that such gesture should be rewarded by the Muslim community with a massive votes in the upcoming 2023 governorship election for continuous development of the state.

While enjoining Muslims around the Adogba area and Muslim ummah, in general, to make beautiful and judicious use of the mosque for the sake of Allah and the entire Ummah at large, he equally urged them to continue to pray fervently for the success of Governor Seyi Makinde.
