Old Students of Irepo Grammar school names Bayo Lawal as new BoT chairman 

…. Says the Association will hold befitting burial for late Deacon Emmanuel Bolaji 

The Old Students of Irepo Grammar School has named the Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-raheem Adebayo Lawal as the new Chairman Board of Trustees (BoT) of the association following the demise of Late Deacon Emmanuel Bolaji. 

Chief Lucas Oluwole Adekunle, the association’s National President of the Old Students, made the disclosure on Saturday during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor at his Bashorun residence in Ibadan.

He said their meeting with the Deputy Governor dwell essentially on the demise of the Chairman Board of Trustees of Old Students of Irepo Grammar School, Igboho, where in far reaching decisions were taken on a befitting burial for Deacon Emmanuel Bolaji. 

According to him, the late Deacon who passed away some few weeks ago was among one of the initiators of the Old Students Association. 

“He started as the chairman of the steering committee before executive members were elected which gave us the platform to be elected as Excos. 

“Like I said earlier, late Deacon Bolaji became the chairman BoT while His Excellency, Barrister Abdulraheem Adebayo Lawal was the Vice-Chairman of BoT”.

The President added that since the BoT chairman had gone away, His Excellency should immediately assume the role of BoT chairman. 

“Now that the BoT chairman has passed away, the next thing is for His Excellency to step into the position of chairman BoT.

“Our Excellency is now the chairman, we are at his residence for the meeting of BoT and the Excos.

“We deliberated extensively on how to give a befitting burial to our late former BoT chairman and we were able to arrive at other positive decisions which will be communicated later”, he said.
