With Seyi Makinde, we stand until victory day, says Dare Adeleke 

Oyo PDP chieftain and Executive Chairman, Oyo Pacesetters Transport Company, Dare Adeleke has said that the people of Oyo have once again shown that they are ready to vote massively for Governor Seyi Makinde again in the next gubernatorial election.

The Oyo governor made his declaration to run for second term as governor at the Mapo Hall in Ibadan Thursday, in a ceremony witnessed by five state governors, the G5 PDP governor’s, led by Governor Wike of Rivers State. 

In a press statement released in Ibadan, Adeleke said the massive voluntary turn out of Oyo citizens at Makinde’s declaration of his intentions to run for second term, is an indication of victory already. 

“We are on the match to victory again. The massive turn out of citizens at not just the Mapo Hall venue but a spill over all around Ibadan, was not a fluke. They were not hired crowds neither was anybody cajoled to be present. What the whole world saw, were the genuine people and inhabitants of Oyo State who trooped out to support a performing governor, a governor who has walked his talk and deliver on all his campaign promises to the people. 

“Makinde has always put the people first and ensured human security at all time. We had some very bleak and grim times within the past five years. COVID-19 came and the security of the state was threatened and there were times we were in situations of  clear and present danger. Makinde tackled these events like a true democrat, and brought the state out of danger, leading with caution, diplomacy, humaneness all within the ambits of the law. Never once did he apply executive force against his people. The people are thankful for that. 

“Infrastructure wise, no other governor of Oyo has achieved what Makinde has, in four years. Ibadan can now be counted among the best metropolitan cities in the world, thanks to the hard work and astuteness of Governor Makinde. 

“Transportation is unmatched with Makinde’s infusion of brand new Mass Transit buses and his unwavering support for the state transport service, education is at its peak, schools and institutions have been rebuilt or refurbished, pensions and salaries are paid in due time. Students are smiling home with bursaries and I can go on and on. 

“Makinde has touched and improved every strata of the society of Oyo State. 

“We must thank him for his foresight in launching our security outfit, Amotekun at the right time even when other Yoruba governors were foot dragging. Today, our people are safer and the achievements of Amotekun in Oyo State are evident for everyone to see. 

Adeleke praised Makinde for carrying all his people along and warned that “enemies of progress and disgruntled elements have already lost the battle, because the people know better and have already endorsed their prepared candidate by their action.”

The Pacesetters Boss thanked the people of Oyo State for their support and said they will not be disappointed: “If Seyi Makinde can achieve all he has in only four years, imagine what he would do when he is in power for the next four years. You must not be swayed by sweet talking people who have failed on all levels and who are being stoned by their constituencies for all the pain and suffering they have brought upon the country. Vote Seyi Makinde, Vote PDP, vote Progress”, he said.
