2023: Campaign Youth Mobilizer, members meet Wolekanle, discuss strategies

As 2023 general elections approach, Director for Youth Mobilization (Ogbomoso Federal Constituency), Wolekanle/Onireti Joint Campaign Council, Hon. Lekan Ayorinde popularly known as Actor alongside members of his team met with Oyo North Senatorial candidate, Hon. Akinwale Akinwole Wolekanle to discuss strategies.

The meeting which held at Wolekanle Campaign Office was scheduled in a bid to intimate members of the team with the Senatorial candidate and an avenue to discuss myriad of pressing issues as related to the tasks ahead.

In his address, Com. Lekan Ayorinde extolled Wolekanle for creating time to meet with members of the campaign youth wing, adding that the meeting was evidently a show of how far he has been working to deliver on the job assigned to him.

“It’s my utmost pleasure to have you in our midst today. Our meeting with you is evidently to address myriad of challenges and strategies as discussed by members of the team.

In his opening remarks, Hon. Akinwale Akinwole recounted his contributions to the development of Ogbomoso before his sojourn in politics, promising that he would continue to consolidate on this to deliver on mandate which if elected come 2023.

“Before my sojourn in politics, I’ve personally contributed imensely to the development of my root – Ogbomoso. Establishment of hotel, sport club, sponsorship of JAMB UTME for indigents among others are some of those verifiable contributions.

“It’s our resolve to consolidate on these as soon as we get into office in February. We can always assure our youth of utmost cooperation as we believe youths are the lifewire of developed nations.

Wolekanle also charged the youths to refrain from engaging in drug abuse, recounting the sad scenarios of cases which are on the verge of becoming the order of the day amongst Ogbomoso youths, specifically.

“I therefore urge you all to work assiduously to ours and PDP’s success at the polls and be committed to this project. This token of a hundred thousand naira and campaign souvenirs is just for me to express my heartfelt gratitude for your determination on this project.

“Conclusively, I sincerely want to commend our Dir. for Youth Mobilization, Actor, the three overall Youth leaders and the LG Coordinators in the constituency for job well done and their commitment. I’m so glad to see how far they’ve gone on the assignment given to them.

The PDP overall Youth Leaders across Ogbomoso Constituency also commended Comr. Lekan Ayorinde for his leadership acumen, they prayed for the success of the Senatorial candidate, other PDP candidates as Feb. 25th and March 11th approach.

At the meeting, Hon. Sayo Alagbe, three overall LG Youth leaders, three LG Campaign coordinators and other 17 members of their respective cabinet were all in attendance.
