VIDEO: Wife of Oyo deputy governor makes case for welfare of Children With Disabilities
Wife of the Deputy Governor, Oyo State, Chief (Mrs) Ajibola Lawal has urged all stakeholders to prioritize optimal welfare of Children With Disabilities CWDs under their care, MOUTHPIECE NGR reports.
She made this call while addressing the stakeholders during her visit to the Centre for Early Development, Learning and Care (CEDLAC) Ashi, Ibadan on Wednesday.
The CEDLAC as an institution, is saddled with responsibilities to provide needs and care for children living with developmental disabilities and harbours over 400 CWDs of different age groups.
The Yeye Bamofin of Kishiland, who performed a dance with the disabled people and helped make the event so amiable and colorful, stressed the importance of putting their welfare first because they were designed to be in our care for a reason.
She however tasked the Director, parents and other stakeholders in the society to be agents of hope and inspiration to anyone under their care.
“I want to specially commend the Director, and teachers for your sacrificial love and support towards these children.
The Director of the Centre, Dr. Mrs. Yetunde Adeniyi thanked Mrs Ajibola for her visit and continued support to the Centre.
“We are really pleased to have you in our midst today and we sincerely appreciate your continued support towards the growth of the centre.
