Aregbesola admits taking long-term loans that make up Osun’s N407billion debts

Contrary to Governor Adeleke’s claim, Mr Rauf Aregbesola has admitted that he was the one who took long-term loan facilities from the Federal Government that makes up the legendary N407billion debts being owed by Osun state.

Aregbesola in a statement published on Saturday by the Nigerian Tribune made by his spokesman, Sola Fasure, Mr Aregbesola admitted that apart from SUKKUK, the other loans he took “are long-term concessional facilities (given to the state) by the Federal Government” which are still subsisting.

He said the repayment should not be a burden to the state because it is spread over many years. However, it is exactly these “long-term concessional facilities” that Adekele summed up making up about 98 percent of the N407billion?

We hope that with this admittance, Adeleke will have the grace to say sorry to Oyetola and be man enough to confront Aregbesola.
