2023: Bankole begins door-to-door campaign, seeks support for Makinde’s re-election

The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain in Oriire Local Government, Hon. Bayo Bankole has commenced door-to-door campaign itinerary across the council for His Excellency, Gov Seyi Makinde’s re-election bid and other PDP candidates.

The villages for which the campaign tour began include; Oko Ile, Alaropo, Esinele Oyo, Elesun, Egbejoda, among several others in the region.

Speaking with newsmen, Bankole said the door-to-door, village-to-village sensitisation in Oriire Local Government area was in a bid to ensure victory for PDP from top-to-bottom at the polls come 2023.

Bankole who is a Former Commissioner for Finance, Planning and Budget also expressed gratitude to supporters of the party who came from all parts of Nigeria to show their love and support for the party, assuring them that the PDP will work for the good of the state if it emerged victorious in the coming elections.

He said that the Makinde-led administration had in the last three and half years brought unprecedented transformation, especially in critical sectors of the state’s economy, stressing that “Oyo has regained its lost glory”.

“I am sure that the next four years of Makinde’s administration, if re-elected, would be years of prosperity, development and massive dividends of democracy in Oyo State.”
