PHOTONEWS: Oyo govt receives Sultan of Sokoto 

Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, received His Eminence, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakarar, the Sultan of Sokoto, on Tuesday at the Alakia International Airport in Ibadan. 

The government delegation was led by Barrister Abdul-raheem Adebayo Lawal, the deputy governor of Oyo State, who was speaking on behalf of Makinde.

He was joined by the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Olabode Ladipo; Commissioner for Education, Abdul-rahman Abiodun Personal Assistant to Governor Makinde, Alhaji Akeem Azeez and the SA Islamic, Alhaji Abdul Rasheed Abdul-Azeez. 

Professor Kayode Adebowale, vice chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Alhaji Murrziq Siyanbade, secretary of the Oyo State Muslim Community, Alhaji Abdul Razaq Oladejo, president of Muswen, professor Musliu Yahayah, executive secretary of Muswen, and other Muslim representatives from Osun state were also present at the airport.

MOUTHPIECE NGR learnt that the sultan had traveled to the region to take part in the University of Ibadan’s convocation ceremony, which started yesterday.
