Iseyin PDP leaders visit Oyo Dep. Governor, Bayo Lawal, hail Makinde
The PDP chieftains from Iseyin axis have, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Barr. Bayo Lawal on his emergence as new deputy governor of Oyo State.
The PDP leaders ably led by the Party Chairman, Hon. Mufutau Abilawon describes Bayo Lawal as ‘acceptable and perfect fit’ to occupy the second-in-command position in the state.
In their words: “Here’s congratulating our ambassador from Oke Ogun on recent emergence as the new deputy governor of Oyo State. You’re in no doubt an acceptable figure and perfect fit for the new role.
“Our visit is consequential and timely. We can’t be appreciative enough to our principal, Governor Seyi Makinde for his developmental projects situated in Oke-Ogun, particularly Iseyin.”
While appreciating their visit, the Deputy Governor who observed a one-minute silent prayer for the late Aseyin of Iseyin before the meeting, lauds the party chieftains, saying that the axis has no reasons not to support Makinde-led government and his reelection bid.
“Thank you so much for this visit and your heartfelt congratulations. As an axis, Iseyin has no reasons to not support Makinde-led administration and his reelection bid.
The Aare Bamofin of Kishi land tasked the leaders to ensure they deliver a bloc votes in Iseyin, noting that many prominent members of the APC are about to defect to the ruling party, so a third party can not fly.
The honourable representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju in Oyo House of Assembly, Adeola Bamidele added that the purpose of the visit is to appreciate the new deputy governor.
He noted that his wealth of experience, at this crucial moment, is much needed to drive Oyo State forward.
