2023: Our door is open to everyone— Oke-Ogun PDP Chairmen declare

AHEAD of 2023 general election, the Oke-Ogun Chairmen of Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State have said that any politicians who chose to the party are welcome to do so.

The Chairmen made this disclosure on Wednesday while visiting the Aare Baamofin of Kishi land, Barrister Abdul Roheem Adebayo Lawal to congratulate him on his selection as Oyo state Deputy Governor. 

They prayed that God will help him in his new role and conveyed their sincere gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde for choosing one of their sons in Oke-Ogun as his running mate for the 2023 election, and now the deputy governor of Oyo State.

The PDP Chairmen led by their Spokesman, Chief Oyebiyi Johnson, from Kajola Local government, reaffirmed that all hands will be on deck to guarantee that PDP win with greater margin.

He equally seized the medium to encourage Barrister Bayo Lawal supporters, especially well meaning Oke Ogun sons and daughters beyond party affinities not to hesitate to join the party across the 10 local governments in the zone.

While expressing his appreciation, the Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal said their visit has clearly shown that they were all impressed about the choice of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde for the Deputy Governorship slot in Oke-Ogun. 

He said: “I am happy that you paid me visit, even without asking you to do so. I really appreciate you. I am aware of your requests, and I can assure you that progress will be made.

“It is important to let you know how much Governor Seyi Makinde has contributed to the party. The next election is coming up. So, let’s cooperate to make sure that our party win in 2023. 

Bayo Lawal added that he would cooperate with Governor Seyi Makinde and do his best to ensure that Oke Ogun continues to enjoy maximum government presence.
