Princess Adedoja mourns Olubadan, commiserates with royal family
A member of People’s Democratic Party in Oyo State and Founder ARA Foundation has expressed her condolence to the Olubadan Royal Family, Olubadan-in-Council, illustrious sons and daughters of Ibadanland both home and in diaspora over the passing of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji (Aje ogunguniso 1).
The revered monarch passed on today at the age of 93 at the UCH Teaching Hospital, Ibadan.
Adedoja, in a statement signed and made available to newsmen on Sunday evening commiserated with the Olubadan Royal Family and people of the State, while describing the late monarch as “a peaceful man and a patriotic Nigerian” who passionately channeled his energy and traditional leadership towards building a prosperous State.
She said His death came as a shock and it is a monumental loss to the entire people of Oyo state.
According to her, “Olubadan was a royal father with Midas touch as he has contributed greatly to the development of our royal institution in Ibadanland and its environ.”
“Kabiesi will forever be remembered for his selfless service, humanity and good legacy left behind.”
“We pray Allah grant him Aljanah fridaou and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
