‘I am still in shock over Alao-Akala’s death’— Oke-LEGACY mourns
A Chieftain of People’s Democratic Party in Oyo state and Member Oyo state Local Government Service Commission, Hon. John Adise-Oke LEGACY has described the death of former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Christopher Alao-Akala, as a rude shock.
Recall that Mouthpiece NGR had first broke the news of his death at the early hour of Wednesday.
Oke in a statement personally signed by him commiserated with His Excellency, Seyi Makinde over the demise of his predecessor.
He said Ogbomoso has lost a doyen and political heavyweight whose role towards the development of Oyo State can not be over empshsized.
He recalled the laudable role Akala played during the resolution of the age-long battle between Oyo and Osun over the joint ownership of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, and gracing the State’s 30th-Anniversary Banquet and Awards which held last year.
According to him, “I never believe his death would come so soon. I am still in shock. His wealth of experience would be missed by all.
“I condole with his loved ones, family members and the people of Ogbomosho, on the passing of the great hero in Ogbomoso.”
“I pray that God grants him eternal rest and watches over the family and loved ones he left behind”, Oke said.
