Campus Gist: LAUTECH SUG meets Alumni on Scholarship, increase beneficiaries
Today, The LAUTECH Students’ Union ably led by President Adeboye Anuoluwa had a proactive discussion with the LAUTECH Alumni Global President, Hon. Solomon Onilede in the interest of the student populace.
The discussion focused on a proposal request by the Union President for an increase in the number of beneficiaries of the yearly Alumni Scholarship program which covers the full tuition payment for the students across all levels. The Global Alumni President having considered the proposal worthy approved it and increased it from 40 beneficiaries to 50 beneficiaries which take effect from this 2021/22 academic session.
Also, the Students’ Union President tabled the Project of digitalization of all Lecture Halls on campus with smartboards to the Global Alumni President and requested his full support. The project idea is focused on making lectures easier and more effective for both lecturers and students and as LAUTECH which is a technology University needs to embrace the use of digital teaching aids as explained by the Students’ Union President.
The Global Alumni President also considered the project as a worthwhile and timely needed project on campus thereby pledging his full financial support in making the project a reality.
