Suspected robbers attack Ibadan Poly Staff residence, shot lecturer

The Polytechnic, Ibadan’s lecturer identified as Okedara Emmanuel was on Monday shot during an attack by suspected armed robbers.

The suspected robbers were said to have stormed the quarters of the lecturers around staff club, North Campus of the institution around 12:30am. Mr. Oke reportedly got shot at close range during the attack.

It was confirmed that the suspected rubbers only shot Mr. Okedara who is a lecturer at the department of Biology but another report that female students were also raped not confirmed.

As at the time of filling this report, Mr. Okedara Emmanuel is at the intensive unit of University College Hospital ( UCH ) receiving treatment.
