Oriire Councillors call for Gov. Makinde, CoS, LG boss’s urgent intervention

The leadership of Oriire Local Government Legislative Arm has pleaded to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde; Chief of staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi and their LG boss, Hon Olateju Michael over non-provision of office spaces for the arm in the Local government.

Speaking with Mouthpiece NGR on Monday, the Arm sought the intervention of Oyo State government towards securing them Office spaces for smooth running of their day to day activities.

The Councillors said since Post swearing-in as elected legislative members of Oriire LG, no office space has been provided for any of their members let alone their principal members.

According to them, “Our efforts for Engr. Seyi Makinde re-election bid have been sabotaged by this singular and despicable act from the authority.”

“We’ve been dejected and dispirited that on daily basis, we do sit, meet and converge under the trees of Local Government premises”

“We, therefore, seek Engr. Seyi Makinde’s intervention to salvage the matter at hand and direct the leadership of Oriire LG, as a matter of urgency, in the bid to effect change and correct the anomalies in the running of Oriire local government.”

The legislative members made this call to sternly warn the authorities against possible effect of their negligence towards their outcry in the long run which may be too enormous to bear.

They also requested that a number of staff be assigned to all principal members for errand purposes in and outside of the local government premises.

Mouthpiecr NGR understands that the offices of DF, DAS, HLA, DD & GS is currently under-lock owning to the grievances of the legislative members in oriire local government.

The legislative members are; Leader. Hon.Timothy Adekunle; Deputy Hon. Abdurahman; Majority Leader Hon areo Sunday; Chief Whip Hon. Peter iyanda; Hon. Adedotun Oyekan Chairman committee on works; Hon. Oke Thomas chairman on health; Hon. Adigun Waheed, Hon. Sunday; Hon. Wasiu alapete and; Hon. Bamindele rasak.
