Ibarapa Needs Infrastructure: Faceless Group With Baseless Accusations
I read with utmost dismay the janjaweed writings credited to a faceless opposition group code-named Forum of Ibarapa Indigene in Diaspora, to it best, the whole write-up is a laughing stock because of the inherent vacuity embedded in the writing and total negligence of facts and figure.
You may not like Governor Seyi Makinde probably because his face is not attractive to you, but only someone that abhors fact and sincerity with passion that would question his determination toward inclusive service delivery in the State. For the first time, all the five zones in Oyo State have a Governor that behaves like their son.
Governor Seyi Makinde pays Salary to Civil Servant on 25th of every month, will the faceless forum say Ibarapa Civil Servants are exempted from this passionate gesture of Mr. Governor? Or the pensioners in Ibarapa are not enjoying their pensions and gratuity like other zones of the State?
Governor Seyi Makinde with ingenuity secured sole ownership of LAUTECH, Oyo State indigenous students have a subsidized price for tuition. What about Free Education declared across Primary and Secondary school in Oyo State? Is Ibarapa left out in all these gains?
It is a known fact that Security is on Exclusive List which means Federal Government is in charge of armed forces and polices, but with the failure of FG, to secure Oyo State and South West at large, Governor Seyi Makinde was at the forefront of the creation of Amotekun, here is to have an indigenous security system, at the heat of the insecurity saga in Ibarapa, GSM was present in the zone to assure the people of his greater commitment to security of lives and properties. Several numbers of Amotekun men and other security agencies were drafted to be moving across forests and jungles chasing the invaders. The result is obvious today, the marauders have been cut to their size.
While the Number One Citizen of Oyo State is from Ibadan Zone, number Two Ciziten is from Oke-Ogun and number Three Citizen who is the Speaker of Oyo State Assembly is from Ibarapa Zone, yet you complain of marginalization, what should Ogbomoso Zone and Oyo Zone do since they don’t have anyone among the first three citizens of the State?
Teacher recruitment exercise was done solely based on merit, was Ibarapa Zone excluded? Governor Seyi Makinde begins upgrading of Stadia across Oyo State, is Igboora Mini Stadium that was on the list not located in Ibarapa Zone?
Adequate attentions is given to Ibadan-Ibarapa Road that is abandoned for years. Or were there no people from Ibarapa Zone that benefited from the Agriculture Training of Oyo State Youths that took place in Nasarawa State?
Maybe the faceless group wants to tell us that the resuscitation of portable water supply and replacement of old water pipes with modern ones across Eruwa Towns are not part of infrastructure development. Governor already awarded total reconstruction of Omi-Adio/Ido/Eruwa Road. Here is a good gesture to the Ibarapa from the Governor that is all inclusive.
The moribund Akufo and Eruwa farm settlements that were abandoned for years are now under revivification as they set to become Agribusiness Industrial Hubs for the entire State. Just like every other Institutions in the State, Ibarapa Polytechnic is now having smooth sailing since Makinde took over the governance. Yet, someone would seat in his closet to dash out uncircumcised fallacies to unsuspected audience just because there is a paradigm shift that does not allow locust and jackals to feed fat on our common patrimony.
Well, I’m not saying Governor Seyi Makinde has done it all, but at least, he has done enough for every Zones to deserve some accolades. It is only when you appreciate what you’ve gotten that you can have access to more goodwills. The inclusiveness of Governor Seyi Makinde has shown that indeed, he’s a son to every zone in Oyo State.
