PDP Convention: Dare Adeleke drums support for Makinde, Arapaja

A Chieftain of People’s Democratic Party in Oyo State, Hon. Dare Adeleke on Monday expressed optimism that Nigeria will witness a new dawn when his party take over Aso-rock in 2023. 

Adeleke, the Executive Chairman, Pacesetter Transport Service, also said PDP has never been crippled by any crises and will not at this time capitulate to blackmail from cynics.

Mouthpiece NGR understands that the PDP Chieftain was reacting to speculations that the party’s national convention may not hold. 

According him, PDP has never been crippled by any crises and will not at this time capitulate to blackmail.

The Chieftain applauded the leadership of the Secretary to the National Convention, Governor Seyi Makinde affirming that the convention will still hold in Abuja on Saturday as scheduled.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday, Adeleke said: “I wish to commend the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde on his statement assuring members that the national convention will still hold as scheduled.

“Gov. Makinde has shown exemplary leadership both on state, zonal and national levels and he is a man of integrity whose word is his bond.

He has assured us all that there is no tension anywhere as the partt machinery and convention committee are working assiduously to ensure a hitch free convention.

“I must also use this opportunity, on behalf of Oyo State members of the PDP to commend His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde for his unshaken support for our Zonal chairman, Ambassador Taofeeq Arapaja for the position of Deputy National Chairman and by the grace of God, we shall succeed in our quest.”
