LAUTECH management must hear this— Angry Staff

A staff in the Ladoke akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso has asked the management of the institution to halt final year students from organizing logout week. 

Mouthpiece NGR understands that final year students at every second semester organizes log out week activities to commemorate their long sojourn on campus. 

In a statement on Saturday, Mr Alabi said— what’s the academic relevance of so called log out activities by final year students when such program always witness tension and apprehension among other students and staff of the school? 

According to him, Nooooooo! This enough l say must be enough. We can not continue this way, lest the situation is bound to go uncontrollable.

Alabi reiterated that he put a write-up on the issue in 2019 but no change despite serving circular to management and other appropriate quarters. 

He said: “Why must a program that promotes gross immoralities,indisciplines by our wayward final year students be overlooked by the school management?

“What benefit to school at large of a program that always end with shooting of guns to students, maiming of students and commiting all sorts of vices courtsey logout activities.”

“The  most pathetic situation is the rigours/ordeals the pupils of LAUTECH Staff School and LAUTECH International College always face, seeing their elder brothers and sisters behaving wild, exhibiting greatest signs of poeple that have gone berserk.”

“OMI TUTU will not mind carrying placard to campaign against this good for nothing program.

The school management, the chairman of LAUTECH Security committee,the dean of student’s affairs and other stakeholders should be prepared to receive OMI TUTU foundation as we are coming to lodge formal complaint.”

“LAUTECH is known for excellent, integrity and service, the moral aspect must not be found lacking.”

“Long live LAUTECH. I remain’OMI TUTU’”
