Just In: U.S establishes EducationUSA in Ibadan

Mouthpiece NGR reports that the United States Consulate General has established the EducationUSA in Ibadan, the state capital.

The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Education, Science & Technology, Barr. Olasunkanmi Olaleye performed the launching of the Centre today at the American corner, Jericho Ibadan.

EducationUSA is a programme designed to assist students with free resources and advisory services to access higher education in the United States of America.

Oyo State is the third state to have the operational office aside Abuja and Lagos.

Education USA will also provide opportunities of scholarship to American Universities for Qyo State students, Teachers’ training and exchange Programme.

The event was hosted by the Public Affairs Officer of the Consulate, Stephen Ibelii while the events was attended by EducationUSA advisor, Director of American Space Ibadan, Coordinator of Fulbright and Humphrey Programme, American Center Director, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, and many others.
