INVESTIGATION: Folarin’s media aide lied, No PDP members received CACOVID palliatives as Christmas gifts (PHOTOS) (VIDEO)

Facts-check by Mouthpiece NGR indicated that a recent video shared by Mr YSO Elodyper, a media assistant to Senator Teslim Folarin— claiming that Oyo People’s Democratic Party Members received CACOVID palliatives is untrue. 

Elodyper had on Wednesday through several blogs claimed that about 52 truck loads of palliatives supplied by CACOVID were seen moving in and out of Agodi State Secretariat and shared to PDP members. 

He also said that the palliatives which are meant for all the citizens of the state are being supplied to PDP members across the 33 Local Government Areas of the state.

But a through investigation carried out by Mouthpiece NGR on Wednesday however revealed that his claim was a fiction. 

Our correspondent in a different video clips reliably confirmed that the CACOVID palliatives are being shared to the poorest of the poor across the 33 local governments in the state.

In one of the video obtained, some old men and women were seen thanking Governor Makinde for the palliatives while also appreciates his efforts towards the development of the state. 

Mouthpiece NGR understands that the Coalition Against COVID-19 is a private sector-led organization in Nigeria established to assist the government in combating the Coronavirus disease in the country. 

It was launched on March 26, 2020, following an announcement made by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
