Makinde taking a right decision on LAUTECH, says Oke

I had a brief meeting with the Governor of oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde at the Muritalla Muhammad Airport on Thursday.

Also with the chairman of my commission and HLGA on our way to Abuja for a 2days training organized by the Secretary to the federal government (SGF).

I was part of the entourage that accompanied the governor to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, where we met with the university stakeholders to put an end to the ongoing crises.

The governor’s step at resolving the issue was no doubt the first of its kind; meeting with stakeholders and listening to the grievances of the students who are one of the major stakeholders of the institution.

At the end of the meeting, the governor instantly ordered the release of 500 millon as immediate intervention fund for the students to return to class room.

He also set up a 5 man committee to look into the crises rocking the institution and how to disengage Osun state from the joint marriage.
