Tinubu Reacts As Aso Rock Cabal Shops For Osinbajo Replacement

From within Aso Rock, words got out on Friday that the powerful cabal around President Muhammadu Buhari has concluded on forcing embattled Vice President Yemi Osinbajo out of office.

Despite the fog of uncertainty surrounding the fate of Osinbajo, nothing concrete is yet be traced to the president regarding the future of his deputy with whom he had shared a warm relationship since their joint victory in 2015.
But the president’s men are said to be unrelenting in their pursuit of an agenda reportedly aimed at abruptly ending Osinbajo’s presidential sojourn.
Amidst all these, the vice president, on Friday, in Ekiti State, accused insiders whom he described as fifth columnists of working against the interest of the government.
This development has gave birth to several reports and speculations with some suspecting the National leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the real cabal.
Tinubu is said to be nursing the ambition of presidency in 2023 with a strong back up from some gladiators within the party.
Speaking on the latest actions taken by President Muhammadu Buhari allegedly targeted at the Vice President, the national leader denied the speculation that he was working against Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s Vice President over the 2023 Presidency.
Mouthpiece NG reports that Tinubu denied this allegation while reacting to the allegation in a terse statement through his spokesman, Tunde Rahman.
“There is no truth in the allegation that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is against the Vice President. There is nothing stopping the Vice President from nursing a presidential ambition. If he wants to run, let him run.
“We are all watching and waiting. It is all a bundle of lies that Asiwaju Tinubu is unhappy about that. People are just politicising the situation. Tinubu cannot muscle his own boy in any way”, he said.
