Oyo: APC Chieftains, Members Receives PDP Membership Card
About hundred of APC chieftains and members in Oyo state defected to PDP on Wednesday, Mouthpiece NG reports.
Their defection was made known in the presence of PDP leaders and the Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, Chief Bisi Ilaka.
At the ceremony was Alh Ghandi who represented Sen Kola Balogun with Rt Hon Moroof Atilola, former Majority Leader, Hon Ayorinde, Hon Santos, Hon Prince Bayo Adeyemi and many other leaders.
A statement by the party publicity secretary, Engineer Akeem Olatunji said the Oyo State PDP under the leadership of Alh Kunmi Mustapha is only doing the bidding of the Afijio local government chapter of the party under the leadership of Chief Ogunlade and the entire local chapter executives under her Chairman, Hon Adedeji, to reposition PDP in order to make Oyo State a complete PDP state.
“Ours is to help our local chapters to grow and ensure that the party is attractive to politicians and non politicians and most especially to support our loyal members in the pursuits of their aspirations.
“We welcome the decampees on behalf of the State Secretary of PDP, Alh Wasiu Adeleke, the Youths Leader, Asiwaju Adekola Adeoye, State Financial Secretary, Mr Hakeem Arinola, State Organizing Secretary, Hon Taiwo Alagbe, State Treasurer, Hon Lanre Oladeji, State Vice Chairman (North), Alh Waheed Oluwakemi and other state executives while the party urge other intending defectors to join the train of development being championed by the PDP leader in Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde.”
