I campaigned wholeheartedly for ADC candidates despite receiving special invitation from senator ladoja. I, and baba spoke for like 2-3 hours why he left ADC and the reason for his action while in PDP.
However, because of my faithfulness and sincerity during electioneering, I could not dance to the tune of baba. I turned down the great opportunity which should have transformed my life because of ADC. Senator Ladoja was not only kind to me but also relate with me as important person. Till now, we still exchange conversation.
The invitation was an honor. Not only the ZLP governorship candidate, Akogun Sarafadeen Ali was present during our meeting but host of others, especially the Zlp Secretary.
Baba introduced me to everyone. He lavished me in praise and hearty in approbation. Yet, I couldn’t switch allegiance because I do not want to betray the trust reposed in me.
I had thought politics is all about sincerity. I thought it was about faithfulness. I never knew it’s about deceit.
I thought ADC would be different from others. I thought there would be equity. I thought the leaders that came together would love each other. I thought they would place masses interest above personal interest. But reverse is the case!
Senator Ladoja who started by introduction during the visit explained everything that happened in PDP and ADC before porting to ZLP.
The lengthy discussion raised several concerns and sober reflections. I knew how much baba had sacrificed to make everyone rewarded. Yet, he was paid unjustly.
Virtually all what ladoja said is now a reality. I now understand that “what the elders seen while sitting, a child standing on the mountain can’t see it.”
None except ardent supporters were able to reason along by following him from PDP to ZLP. Many didn’t see what baba saw then. Some even insulted and called him several names, but not deterred nor bemoaned. Ladoja would say, “I’ve developed a thick skin”.
I’m not holding brief for anyone, either in support of any caucus within ADC, But truth need to be told.
What would be the gain of ADC followers if leaders of the party continue to dribble each other? There’s no love and sincerity. All I see is personal interest and selfishness.
Oh, Someone just said no one is ready to waste his time anymore on mushroom parties. It’s either you are in PDP or APC.
I saw different comments yesterday with many not happy with the list released by Gov Makinde. Even in PDP camp, especially in Ogbomoso, there is calm.
A member of the party who called me to brief on the development said one respected leader in Ogbomoso lost appetite seeing the list. People had thought Ogbomoso would be given two commissioners. Ko se le ri-
But do we have to blame Gov Makinde who’s working towards reelection ? How will you blame a man who’s carefully taking his time to build structure with the coalition opportunity he had ?
The Ladoja many people pushed out turned out to be the pillar of coalition. His intervention made Governor Makinde’s victory possible. This must have been a bitter pill for Lanlehin, Sarafa Ali, others.
If Ladoja had not left PDP, he would have been a rallying point. But he left because of whose interest ? Lanlehin couldn’t even follow him to ZLP despite nursing his interest in the two parties.
Today, Lanlehin is paying the price. He seems to be out of the game. Could this be because he suddenly announced his eviction from the coalition ? Where are those saying that Lanlehin is the symbol of ADC? Where are the G12 or so that later withdrew the court case? Will they allow their kinsman to bury his face in shame ?
All these clashes of interest is primarily destroying the party. The wolfs are eating the dogs for sustenance. The followers are the greatest losers.
Isn’t time for Ladoja’s group to return back to their nest after these slots sharing ? Isn’t time to romance senator Rashidi Ladoja back ?
Ladoja has never for once lost any battle before. Even when he was impeached in agodi, he reclaimed back his mandate. He also won the long lasting case filled by Ajimobi, among others.
I’ve heard someone saying that- the late Moshood Abiola (MKO) despite his wealth, still borrow money from Ladoja. Ladoja is an Akoda Eyan!
Ladoja who also won the chieftaincy battle for Olubadan, gave Ajimobi a tough fight in the last election by losing the Oyo South senatorial district to the underrated PDP candidate, Kola Balogun.
Osi Olubadan is the real politics. He’s a gladiator.
