RE: Adesiyan to Adeleke: “You are not qualified to govern Osun State”
Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organization has responded to a statement credited to APC Chieftain in the state, Mr Jelili Adesiyan where he said that the PDP governorship candidate, senator Ademola Adeleke is not qualified to govern Osun state.
The organization, in a statement made available to Mouthpiece NG on Sunday, described Adesiyan statement as reckless- saying he’s still living in puerile ignorance.
The statement read: “Our attention has been drawn to the mischievous diatribe by Mr Jelili Adesiyan whereto he spuriously talked out of hatred and dismissed the popular choice of the Osun State people, Senator Ademola Adeleke as not qualified to govern Osun State.
“Rather than join Adesiyan in his macabre dance and display of ignorance, We choose to set the record straight for the purpose of enlightenment of the supportive public, more so, to educate Mr Jelili Adesiyan and rescue him out of puerile ignorance.
The statement said Adeleke have satisfactorily fulfilled all the eligibility requirements as enshrined in section 177 as amended of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“It is unarguable that the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is the grand norm for the eligibility criterion of Politicians who aspire for public offices.
“It is public knowledge that several courts of varying superiority had even confirmed Adeleke as eminently eligible to be Governor of Osun State.
“It therefore spells hypocrisy and shamelessness on the part of Adesiyan to pretend not to be aware of all the uncontroversial judicial confirmation affirming the eligibility right of Senator Ademola Adeleke.
“We note that Adesiyan by such affront to the judiciary was been unfair to himself having being a Beneficiary of same judiciary when he was discharged of the murder allegation slammed against him of Chief Bola Ige.
“Lastly, We are surprised that a character like Mr Jelili Adesiyan who had issue of NCE results deficiencies that almost cost him political appointment save for the intervention of Chief Abiola Morakinyo when the senior Brother of Senator Ademola Adeleke, Alhaji Isiaka Adeleke was Governor will raise question of educational eligibility against Anyone.
“It is on record that when the ministerial appointment of Adesiyan was nosediving, as a result of his lack of competence, Senator Iyiola Omisore muted the idea of employing people who will work at the background to assist and cover for Adesiyan’s evident academic inadequacies, leaving him as a figure head Minister.
“We hereby dismiss his outbursts as rantings of a fading Politician that is afraid of the consequence of his bad choices of political identification of late. He lives in the fear of political retirement by Senator Ademola Adeleke”.
