Minister Resigns Over Bribery Allegations

Information reaching Mouthpiece NG news room says the Ghana’s Minister of Upper-East Region, Rockson Bukari, has resigned his position amidst bribery scandal.

Bukari was caught on tape trying to bribe a journalist in order to stop him from publishing damaging reports involving a mining company.
Mouthpiece NG gathered that the Ghanan President, Nana Akufo-Addo, had since accepted his resignation letter and wished him well in his future endeavors.
Sources told Mouthpiece NG that the Ghana’s Communications Director, Eugene Arhin confirmed the development to news men on Wednesday morning via mail.

Investigations still sketchy as Bukari  initially debunked the claim, the presidency, however, said the former minister submitted his letter of resignation to the President on Monday 29th April.
“… He had taken note of the tape circulating in the media and had, therefore, taken the decision to resign in order not to allow the tape to disrupt the focus of the government in delivering on its mandate,” Arhin added.
