JUST IN: Fear and Tension as gun men Kidnap two FRSC Marshals in Osun

Two regular marshals of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Osun State have been abducted by gunmen at Erin-Ijesa area of Akure/Ilesa highway on Monday.

The victims simply identified as Abioye and Bayewuni were traveling late in the afternoon on the road when the armed bandits intercepted their vehicles.

However, the details of the incident were sketchy as at the time of filing this report.

It was also gathered less than one hour that the two officers were kidnapped, their mobile phones could not be reached as the lines had been switched off.

While confirming the incident, the Public Relations Police Officer, Folasade Odoro, in a telephone conversation said a police team was on the trail of the bandits, assuring that the victims would be rescued.

But Osun State Commander of the FRSC, Peter Oke, could not be reached for comment on the incident.

Several calls put across to him were not picked.
