Ex-Head of State, Gowon Slumps at Funeral In Delta

Heavy tension heightened on Friday as Gen. Yakubu Gowon, a former Nigerian Head of State slummed during the oration at the graveside of late Maj. Gene. David Akpodiete Ejoor in Ovwor-Olomu Community, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Souces told Mouthpiece NG that military made fruitless efforts to bar visual coverage of the ugly incident. 

The former Head of State was quickly  rushed by some top echelons of military into the special tent for emergency resuscitation just as Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Chief James Ibori, former Governor of Delta State dashed into the tent to ensure he recovers.

Delta State ambulances were immediately moved to the front of the tent incase the health of the former Head of State deteriorates any further. 

After a while, Chief James Ibori and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa were seen coming from the special tent, an indication that the former Army General has recovered.
