BREAKING: Union Shuts UNILORIN Gate, Sends Students, Staff Back Home ( photos)
Information reaching Mouthpiece NG news room says that NASU have shut down the gate of the University of Ilorin.
The Better by Far University as fondly called, was shut today by the protesting members of Non Academic Staff Union of the institution.
Mouthpiece NG gathered that the protesting Union got to the gate as early as 7am on Monday, May 6 and locked up the gate to deny students and academic staff entry into the campus.
Some students who tried to force their way in were dealt with as their mobile gadgets were broken.
The workers showed unprecedented commitment towards the protest as they prevented prevented people from coming in at the early hours.
Following several appeal, the union according to report later opened the gate as at 8:45 and vowed to make it a total blockade on Tuesday should the school authority refuse to grant their request.
