Your contributions to Ibadan progress can not be overemphasized— Arapaja mourns late Ekefa Olubadan
The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeeq Arapaja has commiserated with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Dr. Mohood Lekan Balogun and the people of Ibadanland over the demise of the Ekefa Olubadan and Babasale Musulumi of Ibadanland, Baba Lateef Oyelade.
Arapaja equally expressed his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the late Senior Chief and the Muslim Ummah in Ibadanland, praying to God to grant Chief Oyelade’s soul eternal rest.
In his condolence message on Saturday, the former deputy governor of Oyo state and Nigeria’s ambassador to Jordan, described the departed elder statesman as a good advocate of human development, unity and progress of Ibadanland, Oyo state and Nigeria till his homecall.
He said: “We received with a rude shock, the news of the demise of our baba Ekefa Olubadan and Babasale Musulumi of Ibadanland, Senior Chief Lateef Oyelade who joined his ancestors on Friday.
“Baba was a good advocate of human development, unity and progress of Ibadanland, Oyo state and Nigeria till his homecall. His impacts and contributions to the progress of Ibadanland and Oyo state can never be overemphasized. Indeed, Baba was a bridge builder.
“My deepest condolences to his immediate family, the entire league Imams and Alfas in Ibadan land, Oyo State Government and the entire sons and daughters of Ibadan . May God grant us the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
May Allah have mercy on his soul, and grant him Al-jannatu firdaus.”
