Makinde’s aide, AbdulAzeez visits Immigration Comptroller, seeks support to expedite Passport processing for Oyo Pilgrims

The Special Assistant to Oyo State Governor on Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Imam AbdulRasheed AbdulAzeez, has paid a courtesy visit to the Comptroller of Immigration, Oyo State Command, Mr. Afolayan Ayeni.

While addressing MOUTHPIECE NGR’s correspondent on Saturday, AbdulAzeez noted that the purpose of the visit was to seek support in expediting the processing of international passports for Oyo state pilgrims.

He said, “My visit to the new Comptroller, Mr. Afolayan Ayeni, was to request his assistance in fast-tracking the processing of international passports, as Muslim pilgrims are in advanced preparations for Umrah.

“There are numerous cases of intending pilgrims eagerly awaiting the issuance of their passports. Their hopes for the journey may be dashed if these issues are not promptly addressed, including cases requiring corrections to their biographical data.”

The Special Assistant expressed his deep concern about unresolved issues that have persisted since last year, particularly among women.

He equally expressed gratitude to the Comptroller of Immigration for his hospitality, stressing that his stay in Oyo State would be peaceful, with the hope of strengthening their relationship.”
