IGSIOSA Excos pays courtesy visit to Oyo deputy gov, describes him as a good leader
Irepo Grammar School Igboho Old Students Association (IGSIOSA) on Thursday, paid a courtesy call on the deputy governor of Oyo state, Alhaji Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal and also to express their congratulations on the re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde Seyi in the March 18 governorship election.
The Excos of the association, led by its president Chief Lucas Oluwole Adekunle Jp, revealed that the deputy governor of Oyo state, Barrister Bayo Lawal is not just an ordinary old student of the school, as he currently serves as the association’s chairman of the board of trustees.
The president emphasised that the purpose of the meeting is to discuss a date on proper handover of their projects to government while noting that they have come to inform him of the projects they have been able to execute and how to handle the projects to government through the ministry of education.
Adekunle described Bayo Lawal as a good leader who has been able to positively influence his immediate environment since his appointment as deputy governor of Oyo state in 2022.
He said: “I need to say sincerely that the deputy governor has done a lot of things to affect the people of Irepo local government.
“We’ve seen a lot of changes and what God has used him to do with our school, his sets and Oke-ogun in entirety. He is indeed a good leader”.
Lawal, who played host to them at his office, thanked them for their visit and pledged to keep doing his part to advance the association’s and the Oke-ogun zone’s overall development.
He gave the assurance that the administration, which is led by Governor Seyi Makinde, is people-oriented and will keep improving the quality of life for the people of Oke-Ogun.
