Oyo Deputy Governor felicitates with Principal on emerging NGF Vice Chairman

…says it is a deserving elevation at this point in our National life

The deputy governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-raheem Adebayo Lawal has congratulated his principal, Governor Seyi Makinde on emerging as the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) Vice Chairman.

This is contained in a statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen, on Wednesday.

He described the emergence of Governor Makinde as a great achievement for Oyo state and a deserving elevation at this point in our National life.

The statement reads: “It thrills, amuses and wets my heart early this day to learn that YE is the new Vice chairman of NGF. What a deserving elevation at this point in our National life.

“Having closely worked with you as a Deputy, I attest without equivocation to YE’s unbounded capacity for hardwork, imbued with long and sharp vision, in ways that dry minds hardly can comprehend nor interpret your decisions which quite often are tough but ultimately sacrosanct.

“Examples of such decisions are in the public domain at State, National and Supranational levels. It’s not surprising to me therefore that Colleague Governors have found YE worthy of this election to arduous tasks of nation building.

“I have no iota of doubt that NIGERIA stands to benefit from your resourcefulness profundity, rich ideas and unshaken belief in Unity of our dear Country.

“I heartily congratulate YE and pray for continued sound health and protection”, he said.

Recall that Governor Makinde emerged as NGF’s new vice chairman by consensus at a closed-door meeting of the governors in Abuja on Tuesday.

While Kwara state Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq emerged as the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) chairman.
