Our Akure reunion after LAUTECH finally bears fruit— Ex-Oyo SSA congratulates Tinubu’s SA on Digital media Olusegun Dada

The former Senior Special Assistant to Oyo Deputy Governor on Public Affairs, Oyedeji Ahmed has congratulated the newly appointed Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Digital media, Olusegun Dada a.k.a Ag Kolo, describing his appointment as a reward for loyalty.

Dada, a graduate of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, was one of the first three appointees made public by President Tinubu on Monday hours after his formal swearing-in as Nigeria’s 16th president at Eagle’s Square, Abuja.

He was appointed alongside Dele Alake, who will serve as the President’s spokesperson, and Amb. Kunle Adeleke, who will serve as the President’s State Chief Protocol (SCOP).

In his congratulatory message on Tuesday, the immediate past SSA to the deputy governor, popularly known as LAUTECH Mouthpiece (LMP), heaped praise Ag Kolo as a naturally gifted media guru, freedom fighter, go-getter, and political savvy whose contributions to youth development cannot be overemphasized.

Oyedeji remarked that his reunion with Ag Kolo at a meeting hosted by Pa Fasoranti-led Afenifere at his residence, where the deputy governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal, spoke on behalf of His Excellency, Seyi Makinde in Akure after many years, was the best reunion he had ever experienced.

He added that their reunion finally bore fruit as they were both able to secure political appointments after their meeting.

He said: “Although I am now a former SSA, I can still clearly recall that we were not on appointment at the time when we both followed our principals to the Afenifere meeting, which was held in Pa Fasonranti’s house in Akure and centered on Yoruba issues.

“President Tinubu and others were seen smiling and beaming with excitement as the deputy governor recited the Oyo anthem.

“However, Ag Kolo later pulled a stunt on his twitter account to twist the statement, which led to several dragging on social media. But all thanks to God, we managed to keep things under control from our end.

“Since his appointment is a dream come true, I must once again congratulate him and pray that God will grant him the insight and understanding to perform beyond expectations.” Amen.

“It is encouraging to see Ladokites succeeding in the media despite not running Mass Communication or Journalism program in LAUTECH. We are naturally gifted and I must congratulate Onilede Solomon led LAUTECH alumni and the university community.

“And it’s interesting that Governor Seyi Makinde, a current LAUTECH visitor, is overseeing this success story.”

Recall that Dada Olusegun lost the APC National youth leader post via consensus to Dayo Isreal. Dada Olusegun who cried on the convention night is heading to Aso Villa.
