Oyo deputy gov hosts Oba Yoruba of Kano state, Hon. Ige, LG chairmen, others to Iftar

Since the beginning of Ramadan, about hundreds from different walks of life have so far had their Iftar meals at the Bashorun residence of the Oyo deputy governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul raheem Adebayo Lawal.

The deputy governor, who overseas arrangements for many people everyday, equally played a host to the leader and Oba Yoruba of Kano State, Muritala Alimi Otisese Adetimirin 1, who travelled all the way from Kano state.

Adetimrin 1, an illustrious son of Ibadan was in company of the Special Adviser to Governor Makinde on culture and tourism, Hon. Ademola Ige to break their Ramadan fast with the deputy governor.

They were joined equally by the Chairman of the Oyo ALGON, Mr Sikiru Sanda, the Chairman of Ibadan North, Hon. Yusuf Oladayo popularly known as Agba Egbe, and other political, traditional, and religious leaders, including non-Muslims as well as clerics and common people.

The guests said that Lawal’s method of sharing his resources with people would undoubtedly result in a sizable reward from Allah for his generosity, humility, open door policy, and principle of identifying with different strata of people in the society regardless of his or her status.

They prayed Allah (SWT) would continue to bless him and his family as well as his principal, Governor Seyi Makinde, and Oyo State, saying that his charitable act is full of rewards, especially during Laylatul-Qudri.

The deputy governor, Bayo Lawal, expressed his gratitude to everyone and said he was glad to be taking part in the special event.

He described the holy month of Ramadan as a time of purification, sacrifice, and introspection.

Lawal prayed for his principal, Governor Seyi Makinde, and asked Allah to accept everyone’s fasting as an act of Iba’dah.
