Laylatul-Quadri: Take a cue from the deputy gov’s kind act— Islamic cleric charges Muslims

The deputy governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul Raheem Adebayo Lawal on Tuesday attended the Laylatul- Quadri program organized by the Chief Imam of Government House Mosque, Alhaji Rufair Bello, held at the mosque.

Numerous Islamic clerics, including members of PAG and the Jama’at Solihat mosque, also attended the gathering, which got underway in the evening.

The program included the recitation of the holy Qur’an, expression of gratitude to Allah, lecture, and a special prayer to seek forgiveness from Allah, to invoke His blessings during the holy month of Ramadan, as well as to thank Almighty Allah for the resounding victory of the Seyi Bayode joint ticket in the March 18th governorship election. 

While speaking, the guest lecturer, Sheikh Faham, encouraged people to be among those who will be giving gratitude to God for all He has done for them. 

He added that once people show appreciation, Allah will continue to shower them with abundant favor. 

He urged the gathering to take a cue from the deputy governor’s kind act, noting that no one could measure what Allah had accomplished.

The Islamic cleric also commended the deputy governor for his unwavering loyalty to his boss, Governor Seyi Makinde, and urged people to model the deputy governor’s behavior toward their bosses. 

Alhaja Lateefa Adekunle Soladoye thanked Govebror Makinde and the deputy governor on behalf of the mosque for their consistent assistance and contributions to the mosque’s growth and other state-related endeavors. 

She also expressed her gratitude for the efforts made by the guest lecturer, the chairman of the civil service commission, and SA Islamic to make the event a success. 

In attendance include Chairman Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Qamorudeen Aderibigbe, the personal assistant to Governor Makinde, Alhaji Akeem Azeez; Alhaji Kunle Sani; Mr Adewale Mutalib; Alhaja Rasheeda Akinyemi; Alhaja Bola Oloko; Alhaja Riskat Kola Balogun among others.
